Indonesia is hosting the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in Yogyakarta as the country is holding the G-20 presidency this year.
About 350 students from Senior High School level coming from more than 70 countries are participating in the International Competition.
The event was officially started Tuesday in Yogyakarta with the opening ceremony by Indonesian Education and Cultural Minister Nadim Makarim and the IOI President Benjamin Burton.
According to Nadim the competition is aimed to prepare the young generation to face the future with their skills and capacities.
